The most satisfied and discerning customers are normally those who have made their stone selections from the hundreds of full slabs on display at our facilities or quite honestly one of our competitors. Because of the natural variations inherent in granite and marble making a selection from a picture or small sample of the entire product can be limiting and ultimately lead to a finished product that may not meet your expectations.  Our indoor showrooms are available weekdays from 8:00 – 5:00 pm in Portsmouth and  10:00 am to 7:00 pm at our Richmond facility. Our new hours to better accommodate our customers are 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Appointments are not necessary, but if you have special requirements, please call ahead to ensure our ability to meet your needs. All pricing will be available per square foot and per slab.

Each new container of stone received by Fleet Imports brings unique design opportunities available for you to choose from. Every color – including the tighter grain material such as Ubatuba, Santa Cecilia, Peacock, and Butterfly can vary drastically from week to week and from bundle to bundle. It is very important to consider the timeline of your project and to ensure that the stone you ultimately selected is the stone ultimately installed in your home. We guarantee that the stone you select will be the stone delivered to the Fabricator of your choice and cut and installed in your home.  Before FINAL stone selection we recommend the following:

• For new construction projects we recommend making final selections two weeks    before the base cabinets are scheduled for installation.
• For remodeling projects we recommend making the final selection at least one week before the installer is scheduled to template for the counter tops.    

Although customers are always welcome and encouraged to visit our facilities and design ideas, following the suggested timeline ensures material availability of the exact slabs you have chosen.

When visiting any of our selection centers, we encourage you to bring samples of your cabinets, flooring, paint, or other decorative items to compliment your design ideas. With hundreds of colors to consider, bringing these samples helps to visualize and narrow down preferences of color and style. Bringing along a camera is also a good idea so you have the ability to take home several different pictures of possible choices.

Upon arrival, every client is assigned a knowledgeable, professional Selection Coordinator to assist you through the stone selection process. Customers are given a tour of the facility, information on the natural stone quarrying process and a brief description of the services we provide. Pricing per square foot will be clearly marked on individual colors and in the event slabs are not marked they will be provided by one of our staff.

Visitors will be asked to provide basic information such as their name, how they heard about us, and who they are working with.

With our new operating hours on Saturday and Sunday we will be operating with reduced staffing which will enable you to browse all available material at your leisure and free to ask questions at your convenience. At Fleet Imports, customer service is our top priority!
